On Monday, May 2, 2011, there will be an induction ceremony that you are invited to. This is where you will receive your certificate for being an honorary member of the Mu Upsilon Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. The ceremony will begin at 6pm in the University Center Room 313. We hope you are able to attend and celebrate this wonderful occassion.

Tuesday, April 19th, we will be holding elections for the 2011-2012 e-board. If you are interested in a position, you must prepare a speech to say during the meeting about why you deserve the position you are running for and what qualifications you have to be in that position. All e-board positions are open: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and National Reporting Officer. Elections will be held at 5pm in UC 219. Even if you are not running for a position, please come to this meeting to vote for the future e-board.

On April 15, 2011 if you are available please try to attend our PB+J sandwich making community service event with Accounting Society. It will take place from 12pm-3pm in Waldo Hall Lounge. Even if you come for 5 minutes it will truly be appreciated. Also if you can donate any supplies such as peanut butter, jelly, or bread, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

On Tuesday October 19, 2010 an audit manager came from KPMG to discuss how to go about getting ahead during the recruitment process, internships, and lastly in your careers. This visit was insightful to all who attended.

This event occurred at Adelphi University's campus on October 17, 2010. Hank's Yanks is a team of New York City players funded by Hank Steinbrenner. Many of the kids come from disadvantaged backgrounds and thanks to Hank's Yanks they are afforded the opportunity to play baseball in a competitive environment, while avoiding the temptations of drugs, crime or life in a gang. The team is managed by Yankees senior advisor and former bat boy Ray Negron. A fun event for all while helping others!

We as an organization had a great turn out at the breast cancer walk. It was great supporting the cause whether it was for personal reasons or not. A good experience overall for a Sunday morning October 17, 2010.

Arthur P. Venezia, self-employed government accountant visited us on Tuesday April 20, 2010 in HHE #219 from 4:30PM to 6:00PM, BAP members had the opportunity to interact with a well rounded individual with a broad knowledge in the accounting field. Mr. Venezia exposed us to what goverment accounting looks like and the differences between the government and financial accounting.
